Our 14th Annual President and Club Officers’ Installation Night was held on 14 July at the Amari Hua Hin Resort & Spa. We welcomed over 200 Rotarians and friends from 32 Rotary Clubs in Thailand including nine District Governors at our largest-ever Installation Night.
Our Mayor of Hua Hin Nopporn Wutthikul attended as usual and thanked all Rotarians for supporting the disadvantaged and underprivileged in our communities. Our Immediate Past President Phil Lawrence thanked all Rotarians for their support over the last year while our incoming President Prof. Dr. Helmut Schepers inspired everyone with the new Rotary Year 119 theme “Create Hope in the World”.
Our District Governor Chatchawal Telavanich also conducted the Installations for President Stephen Noton of the Rotary Club of Prachuap Khirikan and President Nuttapon Panjoy of the Rotaract Club of Stamford International University on the night. Chartered in 2010, the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin now has a total of 58 members from 17 nationalities after having conducted the inductions of four new members at the Installation Night, namely; Dr. Sarun Jotikasthira, Dr. Henrik Fagersson, Guenter Busch and Dieter Strack.
